If this model has a ballast resistor in series with the coil, the
resistor is now open circuit.
You can test this by putting a jumper wire across the resistor terminals
to see if it then runs in the normal position.
Don't use it like that for any length of time though or you will burn
out the coil - my suggestion is for testing purposes only.
If it runs with the jumper wire in position, you need a new ballast
resistor.
