I have an an Automotive Electronic ETi200 ignition module which I removed
from my Midget but would now like to put back, having overhauled the
remainder of the ignition system. The problem is I can't recall which lead
goes to what and cannot trace the notes I made at the time. There is a black
lead which pretty obviously is routed to earth, then a yellow, a green and a
blue lead. The ignition module is fitted alongside the existing system (and
indeed has a switch allowing you to switch back from electronic to the
standard ignition if you so wish). I seem to recall that one of the leads
(?the green one) is joined to the ignition switch wire and the other two
are then linked to the coil - but which one to which side?

Please can anyone help me?

In article <%UTy4.93111$V_.97470@news1-hme0>,

I'm *not* familiar with that particular make, but if it's anything like
the other makes I've played with,

(1) the blue (sometimes red on older units) will be the 12V supply
lead, coming from the +ve side of the coil, or whichever side has the
12V on it;

(2) the yellow *may* be the "hot" output from the CDU, which goes to
the other end of the coil (the end with no other wires going to it)

(3) the green *may* be the input wire, which goes to the CB points (ie
to the wire that would otherwise go to the coil -ve).

There's a chance the colours aren't the same, though!

Does that help?

Anthony.
