Does the unit have any trip or fuses that may have blown? Inside the
adjacent cupboard there is a brown box (same colour as Carver
thermostat) which has 3 LED's on. This does display the green LED
although I am not sure what it's purpose is. I have inspected the
unit and the fan blows fine, there are no obvious fuses or trips on the
heater body.
Can anyone help with advice or instruction manuals on the system?

The box with the three LEDs is the control for the water heater on gas
operation, nothing to do with the fanmaster.
The Fanmaster has a thermal cut out. Locate the fan unit and feel around the
edge of the plastic box. You will feel one part of the box flex as your
press, this will reset the cut out.

Remove the heater front casing and insert a vacuum nozzle into the fan to
remove any fluff that is stopping enough air moving across the heatsinks,
the cause of your cut out.
