anyone else noticed the reviews on www.ukcampsite.co.uk appear
somewhat contrived and made up by the same guy who just happens to run
the site hiding behind a po box

Domain name: ukcampsite.co.uk

Registrant:
Ian J Ralph

Registrant type:
UK Individual

Registrant's address:
PO BOX 336
Stevenage
Herts
SG1 4WY
GB

is it the same Ian J Ralph who got booted out of the walking forum for
bullshitting?
I have stayed at 6 sites based on reviews of his and only 1 bears any
resemblance to the review and & others are just plain wrong. I wrote 2
reviews complaining about sites I'd stayed at this year and they have
never shown up on his website. I try contacting the phantom reviewers
to no avail 2. I smell a big, stinking, scammer, rat.
watch out theres a humphrey about lol lol lol

where can we go for an honest campsite review these days?

We wrote a few reports on sites that were spoilt by shooting in
adjacent fields, in one case they were driving around the fields at
night shooting (not the owners) and the tosser censored the posts so
much it could have been written by someone else. When I queried it he
went in to a real pro hunt rant that I should dare complain about
shooting.

Shame really that a dickhead like him would spoil an otherwise good
idea in allowing us to review sites we visit. No doubt he gets a bung
for making positive reviews all the time, but it just spoils it for us
and the site owners in the end. The wally does allow us to see sites
apart from club sites, so I suppose we should be thankful for that.
Just take the reviews with a pinch of salt.

There are better websites than his junior school effort anyway.

Anyone going away over Christmas?

I have wrote several reviews of sites and they have all been published
as I have written them, both good and bad.

Careful.
I criticised Towsure and they banned me. See my recent post

I always thought Towsure quite good, mind I don't do that much with
them. Quite right though ukcampsite.co.uk is blatant bullshit, though
at least his mugging is non violent.

Yeah, you've said that already. Twice

If your criticism of Towsure was couched in the same terms as your posts
here I'm not really surprised. Repetitive, contentious, probably misleading
and 'whine'y.

Get over it.

You'd do well to take your own whiney advice.

Love to get over it but I cannot use a useful service now, which is contact
with other users.
Funny thing is I didn't post this particular OP and yet my name is on it.

Go and get a webmail address and sign up with that. This way you don't keep
getting the annoying admin emails too.

I posted a blog entry about the far from honest visitor count on that site:
http://devon-surfer.blogspot.com/2011/03/ukcampsitecouk-online-visitor-count.
html

As far as the honesty of the reviews on that site, I don't know, but I know
the reviews on my website are genuine and I publish all reviews that are not
personal or rude, www.campsite-review.co.uk

Hello pennan...@gmail.com,
Many years ago member recommende not to believe/use the aforesaid website.

Personnally, I find:
https://www.campingcard.co.uk/
best for European campsites out of season and:
http://www.acsi.eu/en/home/l2-n144/
for "all year" in Europe.

And the smartphone apps work offline.

Well they still manipulate reviews so it's still an untrustworthy site.

Start looking from here:- http://www.acsi.eu/en/home/l2-n144/?utm_source=CampingCard&utm_medium=Internal%20ACSI%20network&utm_campaign=Header%20tab&utm_referrer=www.campingcard.co.uk&_ga=2.11255735.2075903447.1514564236-1919155072.1495796955

Withe only grand & great grand children, we go out of season using Camping
Card sites, a significant saving, but sometimes the on-site resturants only
have a limited choice.
