Hi guys and girls, does anyone have any details, opinions or a web site
address where I can find out about the Combi-camp trailer tents, they open
up like a clamshell and look really useful. Thanks again folks. Rifleman

We bought an ex-demo Combi-Camp Koala in February from Combi-Camp UK in
Thame (Contact Siggi Jokumsen on 01844 215900). We've had a lot of fun with
it this season and have fitted mains electrics, etc. We found them very
helpful when we needed to get the kitchen brackets replaced under warranty
with the job done while we waited.

My understanding is that there are 4 current models in manufacture. The
Gazelle, Koala and Panda are sold by Combi-Camp UK (Siggi holds the patent
for Gazelle and Koala designs he told me). They also re-export these.The
Venezia design (as seen on the www.combi-camp.com website is a variant on
the Panda having a telescopic kitchen/sun canopy to shade the kitchen area.
I think the Venezia is now available from more dealers in the UK judging by
the website.

Gazelle = 2 adult berths
Koala = 2 adult berths + 1 child (+2 if you have awning extension)
Panda = 4 adult berths (but narrow beds) (+2 if you have awning extension)
Venezia = as Panda

Pros
Peg-less design for main unit (so can be put up in about 5 minutes)
Good kitchen including fridge & onboard water tank
Good secure storage in lockable kitchen.
Kitchen accessible and usable during travel.
Roof rack good for additional items in transit.
Can be stored on side using brackets during winter.
Easy & light to tow being no wider than car.

Cons
Brakes are extra so I always take the chocks
Expensive for what you get (thats why I got an ex-demo unit rather than new)
Few dealers
Beds are a bit hard (we soften them with an IKEA mattress pad)
Need to fit your own mains electrics or buy a tent mains unit
Kitchen is exposed unless you put up the awning or get the Venezia model
