In case anyone else finds it useful:

http://sundry.wikispaces.com/packing+lists

It is a set of reminders for things to pack based on one from a travel
company years ago with various additions. It sometimes helps to have a
list of items to work from.

Tums are an American brand of antacid. RTV is room-temperature
vulcanizing silicone sealant.

I didn't notice Antihistamines (for Hay fever and insect bites) or
sting relief cream on your list.

rtv does NOT need capitalized, but you can do it if you want. Its
not a brand.

Getting heartburn can be unsettling.

The reason I added some things, I made up my own personal list long ago, so
I just added some things I had on mine.

Here is mine I made 28 years ago.......

I didn't mean to imply you'd done anything wrong (though, now that I
think of it, most initialisms get capitalized whenever I see them), just
defining terms he didn't know.

<pedant mode>
In the UK the convention is to capitalise all acronyms. Strictly each
letter should have a "." after it, but this is not normally done.
