What's your opinion on the Rega Kyte or Royd Sintra speakers?

I am looking for a bookshelf speaker to hook up
to a Cyrus 3 amp. I have heard good things about
both speakers. However, I would like to know about
any of your first-hand experiences with these
speakers.

great speakers but LS3/5A's are better so are proac's and avi neutrons

Rega Kytes got very good reviews when they came out (summer 93 I guess
it would be) and I listened to them and liked them a lot. In the end I
bought their floorstanding cousins, the el8s which basically sound the
same but with more bottom-end. OTOH I guess the design is now five years
old or so, and they probably aren't quite up to the standards of some of
the newer speakers on the market.
