I have very little knowledge of these speakers, but my intention is to use
them in my small studio set up. How will they perform as monitors?
Problem...one of the tweeters is blown. Anybody know where or how I can get
hold of an equivalent replacement?
I can't find any info on the web - just dead links to the Rogers site - so
any help or pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I recall all these companies have supplied/serviced Rogers kit....

So spares might be a problem - try calling a few hi-fi dealers like O'Briens
in Wimbledon, SW London (Mike O'Brien used to be their MD...!)

for information about Rogers without bbeing able to trace them.

Many of the smaller manufacturers make their own bass/midrange units, less
so the tweeters. Have you looked to see if there is a makers name on it?
I've found the Audax 1 1/4in. soft dome an acceptable replacement for
many no longer available. It'll work OK from around 1K upwards, and its
high sensitivity makes it rather easier to match than others. Around 20
quid.

But what are they like?

Correct - that was what the 7's used - however, the 7t's used a metal-dome
tweeter/
I think that it might've been a SEAS unit, but my only evidence for that is
its outward appearance - I have a pair of tweeters that look identical...
They are marked 19TAF/G, and you can download H414.pdf from the SEAS website
for further info...
Have a look at the back of your tweeter for similar markings - I'd be
interested to know what you find.
FWIW, I've had a pair of the origional 7's for the last 4 years, and love
them. Do a deja-search on 'LS7' for previous discussions...
Cheers, Mark
