When is the next council election scheduled for? I know it was in Radcom but
someone has borrowed mine.

(Sorry for the on topic posting.)

Nominations had to be in for 1 October. I believe the actual elections
are due next month.

The amateur radio community is so dam divided these days it doesn't
matter what you do or don't do, you'll alienate somebody.

For a pastime based on communications we don't communicate very well
with each other and are intolerant of different views on what we get out
of Amateur Radio.

I think you'll find Len that amateur radio is all about discovering
different ways of communicating. Anyone can yap on all day on 80m.

I'd like to think that's true but the statement 'anyone can yap on all
day on 80m' hints of the intolerance I'm talking about.

Doesn't say much for all those years of effort by a 'strong national
radio society', does it?

Ah, that statement is perfectly valid as long as you can accept that
others derive a lot of pleasure from it. There's lots of things you can
do on Amateur radio and its unlikely that you'll like all of them.

You'll always be between a rock and a hard place trying, but its still

If the nominations have closed, does anyone know who is standing?

Is there a mass revolt against the Status Quo?

Is it a secret until the ballot papers are out?

It doesn't matter what the RSGB does or doesn't do it will alienate
someone. You kinda missed the whole point didn't you?
