Has anyone a copy of the circuit diagram for the EP925 PSU. Its the
ubiquitous 25A dual meter linear PSU that has been advertised under various
brand names for at least 15 years. Mine dates from 1996.

I will be happy to cover any expenses for a copy. I need, in particular to
clarify the wiring from the front panel circuit board to the little board
(mounted on the heatsink) which supplies the base connections for the 5 x
2N3055.

Regards

Gerry/EI9FV

If you can't get a copy, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out- the range
of common configurations is quite limited.

Can you see the balancing resistors- these will be relatively high power
dissipating beasts with a low value- typically 0.5 ohm or so. If so, are
there 5 or 4 of them? If 5, the configuration is almost certainly the 5
transistors (each with a balancing resistor in the emitter line) with the
bases commoned, the collectors commoned, and the non-emitter end of the
balancing resistors commoned. If 4 balancing resistors, then the
configuration is almost certainly the 4 transistors in parallel (as above)
with the 5th feeding the base with its emitter.

There's a schematic of the circuit on www.mods.dk

File name: EP-925_Schematic.pdf

It's in the Manuals section, under Other.

I have a working one here, if you want clarification or a running voltage
check of any test points.
