Hi Denny,

I wonder if you can help me. I am getting concerned about complaints
recieved regarding RSGB HQ not replying to members enquiries. I
understand from one of the Newgroups you were dealing with a member who
resigned due to not having his enquiry dealt with. I don't have his name
as they use silly 'handles' on the newsgroup.

I'm trying to get an idea on the size of the problem.

Yep Jim but it wasn't meant to go here. Well not yet anyway. Sorreeeee!

I've had a few comment on here about it so I want to know the extent of
the problem, hence a poll of the RMs. As I have said before not
answering a members reply is not acceptable.

Well look art the purpose of a CB handle then look at the purpose of
using nick names here. Notice any similarities, an attempt to hide who
they are? Not you Jim, unlike most you don't hide who you are.

Don't lose any sleep over it, Len. Did something similar in another forum,
about four years ago.

No doubt, the "usual suspects" will continue to take the piss, until they
find something else to amuse themselves with... Probably a bit more Brian
baiting, as we haven't had any for at least 10 minutes.

Like most of the misfits you don't sound like a happily married man.

Are you writing a history of repeater abuse?

It does ........ A man had been convicted of murder and was about to be
hanged. Just before the sentence was executed, the hangman asked the man if
he had any last words. "Yes" came his reply, "I hate Masons!" "Why do you
hate Masons?" asked the hangman. "The man I killed was a Mason," explained
the murderer, "the sheriff who hunted me down was a Mason, the Prosecutor
who tried my case was a Mason, the Judge who presided at the trial was a
Mason, and all of the men on the jury who found me guilty and said I should
be hanged were Masons!" "Is that all?" asked the hangman, " "Yes" replied
the convicted murder. "Then you will advance one step with your left foot."

Truly hilarious! Of course GB3LO was the original LOndon repeater that
became GB3SL. Many places in the Croydon area have line of sight to the
Alexandria Palace TV towers, and it was on one of them. You could see it
from my bedroom window in Carshalton. Anything in Lowestoft can only be a
pale imitation.

The old LO was before my time, but I do personally remember one Christmas
when we suddenly had an extra London repeater, because someone had put a
pirate repeater on the air with the old GB3LO call.
