TIA
Hi Steven
I have the indoor version which is the AD270. To set it up you do the
following
1. Connect the power supply to the Interface/Pre-amp box. (This is located
next to the Rx)
2. Run a co-ax cable from the RX socket to your receiver.
3. Run a co-ax cable from the ANT socket on the Interface/Pre-amp box to the
Co-ax socket
on the Active Antenna box.
4. You should then have two bits of wire which form a small "dipole"
connected to the
4mm binding posts on the Active Antenna box.
If you have the outdoor version I think that the "dipole" is make of rod
elements.
The original cables provided with the antenna appear to be bog standard 75
ohm TV co-ax. So
I do not think this is critical.
Hope that helps

Re the AD370, can you still buy these? I know datong have ceased trading,
but do YOU know if any are available. I've read some reviews of the Datong
active HF antennas and it would seem they are 'the' antenna to have. Some
even use them as a benchmark antenna when comparing other HF active
antenna's.
Any info, or even a circuit diagram would be of great help.
