Useful to know. I'm looking for something that I can run on a 12v
battery for a reasonable period. I don't want DSP or waterfalls.

Icom made a 2.8kHZ filter the FL-103 but I'm not sure how much messing
about it would be to change it.

Steady on, that's pushing into 1990s technology. I had a 720A once, it
was cheap and I added extra AM and CW filters plus the FM board when it
was easy to order stuff cheap from the US. The only thing I disliked was
the noisy band change relays. It started to go rusty though so I chopped
it in for a TS-870S.

yes Mr Inoue knew a thing or two about radios....lost it later on...
