I think he's pompous, arrogant and has a pathological aversion to being proved wrong, but these are all admirable traits.

I don't agree at all and if you were able to step back from the situation and look at it from a wider perspective such as that which comes from the vast experience that I have gained over time then I am sure you would agree that my observation stands untrammelled, sacrosanct and not to be question by lesser people than I ;)

I'd say the most dangerous and immoral human ideology of all is
materialism. Socialism, Nationalism, Capitalism, in fact religious
fundementalism is a form of religion with all the God taken out- i.e.
materialism- it's got many different guises.

the history of socialism is constant materialism...they even call
it dialectical materialism etc...
they invariable oppose any god but the state or the fuhrer...

the roman church has opposed it from the get go...

the latest pope is still under probation...

meanwhile, without capitalism(the accumulation of capital
to invest in major productive activities) people starve...

socialism regularly eats the seed corn...

you are playing with complexity...there are no simplistic rules...
there is judgement and balance and reality
