I was looking forward to watching C5 at 7.15pm -- Constable: The great
landscapes.

So what do C5 do? A change of programmes. Instead of a great British painter
we now have a prog about ISLAMIC ART !!!!!!!!! What the *uck is going on in
this country? They haven't even started slitting our throats over here yet
and we're already surrendering.

ROTFLMAO, someone probably pointed out to them that it was *racist*
bigotry to show the great British artist, they may even have suggested
that to do so was akin to saying that British art is in some way
superior we couldn't possible allow such a thing in our wonderfull

I enjoyed it. The art was good. But the key point was at the beginning when
it was called "Islamic art from the Middle East". Why not Middle Eastern
art? No, "ISLAMIC" art to "enrich" the proles' (you & me) opinion of "Islam"

I quite like Middle Eastern Greco-Roman art! There is even some
Buddhist, at least that not blown up in places like Afghanistan
