I am sending this post for my Uncle who has the Accu-Chek Aviva
system.
He had an earlier Accu-Chek meter (Accu-Chek Active) that used mg/dl
units. He switched to the\
Accu-Chek Aviva meter and it uses mmol/L units. He can do the
conversion himself,
but we were looking for a way to change the meter so that it displays
in mg/dl.

Please let me know if this is possible or not and the instructions on
how to do it.
I could not find this in the owner's manual or on the web site.

Thanks!

I think you will find that all meters supplied in the UK nowadays are
locked. Manufacturers recently seem to have gone out of their way to
replace meters which had the ability to switch due to legal concerns
around making errors and potential injury/death from confusing readings.

Ring Roche up, I would - they're always helpful. Might be a new meter
in it, if what you want isn't possible.

Most meters are not switchable. I believe the one touch ultra (check first)
can switch but its not rocket science anyway.. 1mmol/l = 18 mg/dl. In the
UK we only use mmols/l and any health professional will work to these units
as well.

Incidently, I have had dealings with Accu-Chek and they may be happy to send
another Aviva that reads in mg/dl, as they produce them for some European
countries. Ask them, they may charge a few quid but they are only about Ł15
new anyway. Customer services with these companies tend to be pretty good.

No chance to switch the system.... simply multiply the result with 18.0182 to get the result in Mg/dL ...
