Sweetheart,

I was going to email you privately, but I realised I don't have your addy.
Would you mind giving it to me? What was the reason they gave? I know you
don't feel like it now; but do you have any right of appeal? Though it's
probably the last thing you want to do over again.

Please know that my inbox is always there should you ever need a shoulder.
You've been a great friend in the short time I've been here; and I love you
loads. *Please* don't think you're ever alone - you're not.

Lots of huggles,

Aliss

I'm sickened to the stomach that you didn't come out on top - I was
convinced that you would as you had such a strong case - it seems to me that
there's very little justice in the world atm, and it's pissing me right off.

Hardly surprising is it - hang on in there babe, you've got mighty good

worth).

I know it may not help right now, but perhaps fate had to do that so the
course of your life would take a certain path to much better things. I do
hope you get over the disappointment soon. Lots of hugs.

Hi Hon

Sorry to hear you lost your Tribunal, my thoughts are with you, as I know
all the effort all these things take, mine is due to start in April.

If/when you feel up to it, could you let me know either on the NG or
back-channel if you prefer, on what grounds you lost? Sorry if this sounds
a bit selfish, but any info would be gratefully received.

Take care hon

Woody

Hi Aliss, thanks for your kind words :o) My email address is
blurb...@yahoo.co.uk
It was a complicated case - difficult to go into the ins and outs thoroughly
here but basically the Tribunal thought my employers had acted reasonably
and according to procedure despite some mistakes and misunderstandings :o|

I could Appeal but my CAB advisor doesn't really think there would be a
valid point we could appeal against and I don't think I have the energy or
the will to go through it all again.

Thanks Aliss, I very much appreciate that, though at the moment I don't feel
I have much energy for online communications but feel free to email me and I
will respond to you but allow me a little time!

Hi John :o)

Thanks for your encouragement, I understand what you are saying and my
boyfriend put forward the same view too. It's hard to be positive at the
moment as I was doing a job I loved and it will be hard to get back into it
but I guess it might mean there are better times round the corner?

Thanks again :o)

Hi Woody :o) I wish you the best of luck as it is very intensive and
stressful but hopefully you've got a good case and will come out on top.

Well, it was a complicated case to go into here - involving Disability
Discrimination but basically they though my employers had acted reasonably
and followed procedure correctly albeit it was prolonged and contained
mistakes :o| They will send me the full conclusion of the tribunal in
writing soon so I could maybe eleborate on it then.

Thanks for that hon. My solicitors got a Barrister's opinion for me and he
said that the disability discrimination was probably the weakest part of my
claim, on the basis that I wasn't fit (and still aren't) to work at all
therefore there were no adjustments they could have made that would have
meant I could return - maybe that was the case for you as well - I'd be
interested to hear once you get the written decision.

I'm also claiming for an ill health retirement, and the Barrister thinks
that is my strongest claim. I had worked for the bank for 23 years, and
left with nothing so I've still got my fingers crossed.

Keep smilin hon

Hi,
I obviously don`t know your CAB advisor, but on two separate occasions
on two separate issues (though neither was employment tribunal
related) a CAB advisor has told me I don`t have much chance of success
and then when i asked a solicitor I was told the opposite. It probably
depends on the local CAB and the advisor as to the quality of advice
they give - and the effort they make.
Just a thought.

Thanks Woody :o) All the best of luck to you - it's hard work going through
it :o| I was dismissed on ill health grounds but do not have pension
arrangements with them so get nothing in that respect.

Just do your best and fight 'em!

Thanks Mark :o) On the whole over the last couple of years the CAB have
helped me immensely with a number of issues (debts, benefits etc) and I DO
trust the advice of the two people I have been cheifly involved with - I
understand what you are saying and HAVE come across other advisors who seem
to know little but I don't think that is the case this time.

Thanks again,
Best wishes
