When I was doing the climatological observations at Banff I used to measure
the first fall of snow on grass then lay a piece of hardboard on top of the
snow, hope it wouldn't blow away :-) and measure any new fall on the
hardboard. Things may well have changed in the past 35 years <LOL>

Well I'm not going out with a ruler but I'd say we have about five inches
on top of the fence post lol, that'll do for now.
