Thanks you for showing them Bill. They are very good and I bet you really
enjoyed doing them
Jen
They are really good Bill, I think painting is a gift, which you obviously
have,
I once went to art classes, the family laughed at my efforts, my hubby said
my mountains looked like a slag heap, I can't draw for toffee, so I
abandoned it :-)

Pat I didn't start until Feb last year. i love it. But it has been a
struggle. Getting easier now though with plenty of practice.

My Dad painted Bill, and he did some great pictures. I have three of them at
home. He got great pleasure doing them and I think he was suited that we
(his daughters) wanted them on our walls, he was very tallented, and got
better as he did more. Keep it up :-)
Jen
I still have a lot to learn Evelyn.
One of the probs of showing them on the web is they loose some of the
sharpness and colour when I scan them. I have tried using my digital camera,
but not much difference,
--
Bill P
Thanks again Jen. My three daughters are already asking for them.

Bill P
Lovely art Bill. I wish I could paint or draw like that, in fact I wish
I could paint or draw at all.
Thank you for showing them to us.

Bill, they are lovely! I really like the boat and seashore ones.
Jayne
That expression - "suited" - really reminds me of my Gran Jen. Except she
normally used it as a negative! eg "he's not suited over that".
I haven't heard it in ages.
Jayne
My Mum uses it all the time. Both possitive and negative. I wonder if it's a
Yorkshire term
Jen
Oh!
I thought that you'd done those Pics in something like
PaintShop Pro or PhotoShop!
They're nice, aren't they?
(Well, if you like "Arty" type stuff - but I'm a Philistine).

Perhaps its a bit wider than that then Jen - my family are all in Durham.
Jayne
We will be discussing ginnells or snickets soon lol
Jen
LOL -- ginnells isn't one that is familiar but I think snickets is. Sneck
is one that makes my kids laugh, as in "leave the door on the sneck".

Jen

I say "don't be nebby".
Jayne
wouldn't call them amateurish - I'd be really chuffed if I could draw and
paint like that, they are lovely
--
Barb
They are not amateur at all Bill.
I especially like the winter scenes - you've caught them very well.
Well done and thanks for sharing :-)
I wish I could be as artistic!!

Luck is when the paths of opportunity and preparation cross.
Russell did Mrs Tyke ever do that mural on your wall

What did you decide to paint. I suggested a Yorkshire theme ;-)
Jen
It will be a classical scene, perhaps a little Italian in flavour - the
house has some Italian style.
There will be the odd little roo hiding i the scenery as well ;-)
