Went and fetched him home this afternoon,

He was supposed to have been shown a procedure he has to do. But the
specialist was not available so we will have to return on Monday
morning.
He was supposed to have seen the anaesthetist to see if he was ok to
take a general anaesthetic - they too were not available. So we will
have to return to see them also ................... what a mess up!

He then has to see the urologist again in 3 months when, hopefully, what
they have done will have healed up completely.

If all is well he will be put on the list for the bigger op
................ so we will have to be patient and wait and see again.

Thank you all for your thoughts and good wishes ......... the certainly
do help:)

Good that he is home, Anita. There's nowhere quite like it for getting
better and I'm sure you are the best 'nurse' he has :-)

Hopefully all the follow-up procedures will happen very soon.

Thoughts are with you both.

Well it's nice that he is home, but as you say, what a mess up. Let's
hope the procedure he has had will improve his quality of life somewhat.
Good luck on Monday. It shouldn't be down to luck, but from what you've
said already it looks like that is exactly what it is down to. :(

Well, thinks are going the right way for him even if they *are* slow!
Does seem somewhat of a muddle, doesn't it?

But he's back home with you so that part's nice :-)

Hope he continues to feel better and doesn't get too cross about the way
things have turned out.

I'm sure Ron will feel better in himself for being home Anita, even if
there is still a way to go for everything to be sorted.

Perhaps a good relaxing weekend for you both might be in order after the
week you've had. :-)

Good that Ron is home to his own bed. Not so good about the right hand not
talking to the left hand but hopefully it will be sorted out soon.

Yes, FN - I sometime wonder how things like this happen - annoys me when
you are told one thing, then it is changed just like that.
We were told after he had the procedure that it might not make much
difference - unless they can do the other op that is required :(

You are right the left hand does not know what the right hand is going
to do.
Yes it is nice to have him back home again - he is worn out, a few days
time I hope he will feel better.
Ron never gets cross - never complains either - leaves it all to me to
do!

Yes, it is good he is home - is worn out, but am sure he will feel
better in a few days. 'Fraid this appears to be the norm with the NHS
nowadays - just when you think things are going smoothly - you realise
they are not.

I know Jan - I could not believe it when I got to the hospital this
afternoon and was told there was a hold up for them seeing him.

Yes, I am hoping the urologist will be there in 3 months - we have had

Yes it is nice to have him home again - he is happy that he is not in
hospital still. A few days rest will make a difference for him.
Thanks Madge we do hope that it won't be too long a wait for him if he

Pleased to see that Ron is home Anita and that some procedure has been
carried out, hope that whatever was done will give him some relief. It is
so frustrating when there is a need to keep going back because the medics
were not available, we can only hope they were dealing with someone with a
much greater need - although that I know is no consolation.
Do hope all goes well.

Thank you Alma, he has woken up completely shattered today - I guess the

I'm pleased that you have him home again Anita. Shame about all the
omissions on the part of the hospital and hope you manage to get things
sorted. Hopefully the procedure they have carried out so far will help him
and that, should he need the bigger operation, they will be able to do it
for him
I know you will care for him as you always have but be sure and take care of
