You can tell it is my day off today, I have time to think!

We have one of those baby bouncers that hang from the door.

Can Morgan use it yet at 4.5 months old? He can hold his head up now.

What is the general opinion?

Answers on a postcard to..........

Hi again

We've been using a door swing for Samantha since she was about 3 months old.
Basically I started using it as soon as she was holding her head up well.

If you want to see first pictures of her in it.....

we used the door bouncer from about 3 1/2 or 4 months with both ours and
although they loved it i have to say we didn't use it much as it was a
bugger to get the kids in and out and i never managed to get it off the
doorframe once i'd got it on so it always had to hang there in the way till
DH came home! aslong as he's holding his head up then give him a go and see
what he thinks of it.

We used one from about the same age, but more so with our first-born. With
the second and third we found that the older ones took great delight in
trying to pull the one in the bouncer backwards and catapult them through
the doorway...

I was advised (by the physio & orthopaedic consultant) not to buy one of
these or a baby walker due to the fact that it encourages feet & legs to
grow the wrong way???

Of course, they may be over-cautious with James due to his hip problem (left
hip ball is growing at a slower rate than the right) although this hasn't
stopped him crawling at 8 months and pulling himself up at 9mths - all that
worry for nothing.

Great photos, I have seen them before but not seen the most recent ones.
She's lovely isn't she?

I can relate to the boyfriend one, a friend of mine brought her son to see
us who was born 5 weeks before Morgan. Morgan was fascinated with him and
started to "talk" to him - and the other baby started to cry!
What a bully eh?

Can I see a tooth coming through on one of the photos ( or was it a bit of
dribble)?

I've just updated Morgan's photo site with some recent photos, he has
recently started to hold his head up when we put him on his tummy. Up until
2 weeks ago he would always have his face flat down on the mat but now he
proudly holds his head and shoulders up. He's almost there rolling right
over onto his tummy but not quite, he just looks like a weeble rolling from
side to side with his legs in the air!!

Hi Natalie,

He is so adorable, I love the dimple in his cheek :-) Also, the handprint
picture looks like a great idea - what paints did you use???

No, no teeth yet, she's dribbling constantly and her fist/teether is
constantly in her mouth so I'm thinking it won't be long...

Samantha rolled over fully for the first time last week, she's been rolling
for a while, but last week she finally managed to pull that arm out and push
herself upwards... bless! Everyone keeps telling me it's crawling next - do
you know where I can buy "Permanent Baby" pills ;-)

Hi

Still online as I'm busy uploading Morgan's photos at the moment!!

Teething - hmm. I noticed something on Morgan's gum today which seemed to be
a bit of gum coming away like it had been cut - is this a sign?? All his
clothes are soaking with dribble at the moment.

I know what you mean, when you find the Permanent baby pill let me know
where from! I'm just looking at some photos of Morgan from when he was a
week old and I can't believe how much he has grown and changed, even in the
last month.

There will lots more entertainment from our little ones in the next few
weeks / months / years. We can keep the memories and keep the photos to
remind us though :-)

Hi Ali again!

I don't know what the paint is that is used as it was done in his nursery
but I can find out.

Apparently John Lewis sell a set that you can use to do hand and feet prints
but I've not seen one as there isn't a JL in Leicester.

Natalie .

Hi,

Bummer, no JL in Basingstoke either. I'll have to have a look in the toy
shop over the weekend.

Thanks anyway

Natalie, have you tried Whizzy Wheels on Queen's Road?
I know they sell the kits for making models of the hands and feet, they
might also do paint sets.

Johanna.

Hey you can't just go posting stuff like that without some sort of
warning! I have to clean the coke off my keyboard now. Once I've done
that I have to get the mental image out of my head too and that isn't so
easy. I'll be giggling for hours on that one.

Ah well to make up.. Apparently, turning on the red-eye reduction
setting on the camera surprises Rhiannon somewhat.

Bless, she's so sweet! And yes, that's a similar expression to the one on
the faces of my DDs when the catapulting happened <g> One of them actually
loved it, and would laugh! It didn't seem like a good strain to have on her
neck though *sigh*

well I've heard good and bad Nathanael seems to be at the stage where he
would love it, so we might get one soon, I think we'll go with our usual
mantra "everything in moderation"

hi to you too :-) not quite so little any more, for the first time since
he was 6 weeks old his weight is above the 0.4th centile line, only just,
but it's a milestone!
