The Jenny Jones show, another American Oprah clone (which,
incidentally, plans in this episode to make over goths so they look mundane)
has been spamming alt.gothic repeatedly with this message for three days now,
despite having been firmly told (by phone and mail) that once was enough.
Complaints have also been made to aol (for all the good that's likely to
do...) Given the greater irrelevancy of such a post to this group, I suggest
similar complaints be made from upg inhabitants.

Totally unrelated....well, almost:
The Jenny Jones Show was also responsible for the murder of a gay man in
New York IIRC. She did one of those 'Someone has a Secret Crush On You'
type shows, (if you've ever watched Sally Jesse Raphael/Rikki etc you'll
know what I mean.) Anyway, this bloke was onstage, and had been told that
he was going to meet his secret admirer. Who turned out to be his male
neighbour. The first chap didn't take too kindly to this, as he appears to
have been a raging homophobe (which the Jenny Jones researchers failed to
find out) and later that month he kicked down the door of his neighbours
apartment and blew his chest out with a shotgun. Jenny Jones claimed no
responsibility for or connection with the incident......

Possibly, but I think the fact that he was very open and forceful about his
homophobia (according to the testimony of friends) means that to have
brought him together with a gay admirer, the producers of the programme had
a definite hand in the resultant tragedy.
