Suspension on mobility scooters

I currently use a Strider scooter which has suspension, but it is just a
spring at each wheel. But there is no shock absorber, so although the
spring may soften the bump on impact, when the spring recoils quickly
the effect is possibly worse than if I was riding a non-suspension scooter.
What are other peoples experiences of the suspension on their scooters?
Are there any scooters available with proper suspension?
