NEW SCHEDULE TO BENEFIT DEAF EXPO 2001 PATRONS
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA-- (7 September, 2001) - The new
Friday-Saturday schedule that Deaf Expo 2001 is implementing has
gotten enthusiastic support from a wide range of the community. This
ninth consecutive show is offering group discounts and is targeting
school groups with special programming for the first day of the show
on Friday. Deaf Expo<tm> is the country's largest consumer trade show
targeted at the Deaf and hard of hearing market.

The two-day show will be held this year on Friday & Saturday
November 16-17, 2001 at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA. Show organizers
believe the new format will draw a higher attendance. Over seventy
exhibit spaces have been sold as of the early bird deadline in
mid-August.

Among the show's many program activities are exhibits covering
nine categories: Education, Finance, Giftware, Health, Human
Resources, Publications, Recreation, Religion and Technology spread
out in two Exhibit Halls. At the end of one Exhibit Hall is Deaf
Village with vendors representing art & crafts, one-person and home
businesses.

DEAF EXPO 2001 is organized by EF Training Center, Inc., a
non-profit deaf-run organization with sponsorships from America
Online, Inc., an internet service provider; deafbuy.com, a Deaf
Internet Store; Greater Los Angeles Council on Deafness; Ultratec,
Inc., official TTY of Deaf Expo 2001; and Wynd Communications
Corporation, the official wireless service of Deaf Expo 2001. MCI
Global Relay has also joined onboard to provide financial support as
an underwriter for this huge national community event.

LifeSigns has been designated as the official interpreting
agency. Barmon Tours is official travel agency of DEAF EXPO 2001
coordinating special Deaf Expo<tm> group rates at the Sheraton Suites
Fairplex and the post-Deaf Expo<tm> cruise.

Among continued innovations in programming are new 'Deaf
Accessibility Workshops' showing ways and means for businesses and
agencies to become 'Deaf-Friendly' and approaches to employing Deaf
and hard of hearing people; a Jobs/Career Fair, and two evening
entertainment activities. Comedian Charles 'CJ' Jones is producing a
dinner with skits about a hearing person growing up in a Deaf family
in the official hotel ballroom on the first evening followed by the
'Signing Out Loud!' Party nightclub with standup comedy,
dance-sign-song and the 'Signingly Yours' band and skits on Saturday
evening.
