Ear Surgery

Hi

This posting might be to the wrong group, if it is I apologise.

I am about to go for reconstructive surgery for replacing the three
ear bones that were previously removed when I had a mastoidectomy
(spelling could be wrong there)

Has anyone had this treatment and if so are they willing to share
their experience with me???

I was hoping to know if it imprved their hearing greatly and what the
potential side effects were.
