Michael Burton, IT entrepreneur, died 3 September, 2006, aged 67. He
was a pioneer of the application of information technology to business
problems. It is no exaggeration to say that insurance broking in the
City of London was transformed as a result of his work. Though the
industry at the time was not open to change he persuaded the broker C E
Heath not only to adopt the new systems but to set up a subsidiary,
Datasure, to sell them.
