Experimental Station, 1977-86, was born October 13, 1925. He died on
December 16, 2008, aged 83. Professor Sir Leslie Fowden was a
pioneering scientist, who contributed greatly to our understanding of
plant chemistry. He went on to direct agricultural research in the
world famous Rothamsted Experimental Station.
