Lady Jewkes, who died at her home, 14 December, 2005, was the wife of
Sir Gordon Wesley Jewkes, KCMG, late of Her Majesty's Diplomatic
Service, sometime Consul-General at Cleveland, and Chicago, Governor of
the Falkland Islands and British High Commissioner to the British
Antarctic Territory.

Antarctic Territory.
She was the former Joyce Lyons, and married Gordon Jewkes in 1954. Her
husband was appointed KCMG in 1990. He was Gov. of the Falklands,
1985-88.
She is survived by Sir Gordon and by 2 sons, Nigel and Stephen.
The funeral takes place at the Church of St Mary and All Saints,
Beaconsfield Old Town, 5 January, 2006.
