The Hon Mrs Matthew Beaumont died 14 January, 2024, aged 91. She was a scion of the Cuthbert landed gentry family, of Beaufront Castle.

She was born Belinda Jane Elizabeth Cuthbert, 6 Aug, 1932, elder daughter of Major Harold David Cuthbert (1909-1959), head of that Northumberland family, and his 1st wife the former Bridget Sibyl Milnes Coates (1910-2010), scion of the Milnes Coates baronets; and married 13 Oct, 1973, as his second wife, the Hon Matthew Henry Beaumont (1933-2017), fourth son of the 2nd Viscount Allendale, KG, CB, OBE, MC. DL (1890-1956), and his wife the former Violet Lucy Emily Seely (1897-1979), scion of the Seely baronets. No issue of the union.
