Neighbours star Anne Haddy, who played Helen Daniels in the hit
Australian soap, has died aged 68. The actress died in her sleep in a
Melbourne hospital at the weekend, a spokesman for the programme said.
Details of the circumstances of her death are not yet available, the
spokesman added. Ms Haddy suffered a heart attack in 1979 and underwent
heart operations in 1982 and 1983. Her death comes two years after she
left the show, in which she played a grandmother for 12 years. mfl
