Lady Furnival Jones, who died 28 March, 2005, aged 85, was the widow of
Sir (Edward) Martin Furnival Jones, CBE (1913-97).

She was the former Elizabeth Margaret Snowball, and married Martin
Furnival Jones in 1955. One daughter, Nikki.
Her husband, a former solicitor, joined MI5 in 1937. After the Second
World War he became head of C Branch and therefore responsible for
security. Furnival Jones held the post of Director General of MI5 until
he retired in 1972.
The funeral is at Golders Green Crematorium, 14 Apr, 2005.
