Susan Campbell, who has died aged 92, had a long and varied career as an artist and illustrator, a food writer and Britain’s leading expert on walled kitchen gardens, 700 of which she visited in the UK and abroad...She studied at the Slade, illustrated Nell Dunn’s Battersea story Up the Junction, and wrote food books and many works on gardens
