British Transport Police were called to a remote area of the station,
away from public view, following the discovery of a body this morning.
Mark Speight had been missing since Monday. It is understand the 42-
year-old had hanged himself and had not been hit by a train.
Mr Speight, who was said to be vulnerable, had been reported missing
and had not been seen since 9.30am on Monday when he was dropped off
at Wood Green station, north London.
His disappearance came a week after the inquest into the death of his
partner, fellow presenter, Natasha Collins, 31.
He discovered Miss Collins dead in the bath of their home in St John's
Wood, north-west London, on January 3, with 60 per cent hot water
burns to her body.
The couple, who met on BBC children's show See It, Saw It and had been
together for more than five years, had spent the night "partying" on
cocaine and alcohol.
Police initially arrested Mr Speight on suspicion of murder and
supplying Class A drugs, but it was later announced that he would not
face any charges.
The coroner recorded a verdict of death by misadventure after noting
that a "very significant" amount of cocaine was in her body at the
time of death.
advertisementMr Speight, 42, was left "distraught" by the tragedy. In
February he announced he was quitting his job as host of CBBC art show
SMart after 10 years.
It emerged at the weekend that Miss Collins' mother, Carmen, had taken
Mr Speight into her home.
She told a newspaper: "Mark and his agent came round to the house the
night she died. He was broken. He could barely stand and said, 'Do you
mind if I stay tonight?' He's been with me ever since.
"He can't go back to the flat where he and Natasha lived and I
understand that. It's still as they left it that night. And Natasha
would hate to think I've put him out on the streets."
Mrs Collins, 57, went on: "Sometimes at night I hear him crying and I
just feel so awful for him. He even cries in his sleep. It is so sad
because they were so much in love and made for each other."
Police have notified next-of-kin of the discovery. A formal
identification is yet to take place.

Yep. A couple of coked-up idiots.
The British media is expressing sympathy for the loss of one of their own,
but I can't help thinking over and over of the words "inevitable
consequences."

they should have done if they had been sensible......."As you sow so do you

Go.

And.

Right.
Verily.
Off.

Prat.
Few things are worse than preachy and ostensibly pious xtians.
You're all just like the pharisees that the famous work of fiction
said that J*s*s despised.
Hypocrisy is easy; living every day the way that you promise to every
Sunday within the four walls of your stupid church is much harder -
beyond you, in fact.
I'm reminded of The Chameleons' "Monkeyland":
"I shake my head and shiver
They smile and they stab my back as they shake my hand."
Now be quiet. And learn to spell, FFS.

Another foul-mouthed Yob, now well and truly plonked.
If you follow in their reckless footsteps it will be you who is that.
Please add me to your plonk list, you ignorant, deluded, sanctimonious twat.
Indeed, Galations 6v7. It works every time. But, folks never learn.
With the greatest of pleasure, Brian.
Bye! bye!
Very true! the arragancy of simple men is amply manifested in their last few
foul-mouthed posts.
"7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he
will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap
corruption;" Gal 6:7-8 (RSV)
This man and woman haved prove the point "he who sows to his own flesh will
from the flesh reap corruption;" Gal 6:7-8 (RSV)

Everyone ought to take a few lessons from this NG, as it is where all of you
will finally end up, profanities or no profanities.
Only in Christ is there any hope of freedom from the finality of death in
the hands of the Grim Reaper.
Jeff...
How did these simple-minded fucks manage to infect this newsgroup all of
a sudden?

It appears there are some nasty people on this NG.
Whatever is the matter with some of you?
So crass, impolite, foul-mouthed, mind-sets, you should be ashamed of
yourselves.
Strange......how some people seem to enjoy behaving in such an immature and
uncivilised manner.
No wonder the world is in such an aggressive state of flux, yet filling up
it's cup of prophesied coming judgment upon it.
Jeff...
> It appears there are some nasty people on this NG.
No, just a few who don't subscribe your mediaeval ideas.
> Whatever is the matter with some of you?
We're smarter than you are. It's cross we have to bear. Irony intended.

That is what most people know to be "clutching at imaginary straws."
Of course.....
".6 You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone
who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he
rewards those who sincerely look for him." Heb 11:6 (TLB)
