We have a healthy cat but I figure that as he ages he might end up with
medical needs that are difficult for us to afford. I am worried about
him needing surgery after a serious accident, or maybe chemotherapy and
surgery for cancer, or maybe some chronic condition developing that
requires lifetime treatment.
I don't need coverage for his routine vaccinations, nor do I need a
reward if he's stolen, nor a bereavement helpline if he dies, etc. The
pet insurance packages I have seen so far insist on bundling a bunch of
stuff I don't want to pay for coverage for when I just want some
lifetime plan for medically necessary treatment only and with a high
annual deductible to make the premium lower. Who provides something
closest to this? Does any provider allow me to get out of having to pay
for many things I don't want?
