turnaround ever from listing to payment on a bin, just 35 mins..... I'm
well impressed.

I had one in 10 minutes once. And they paid straight away, and the
item was delivered to them the next morning, a 14hr turnaround.
I wish they all went like that.

I've been flogging some Kawasaki KH250 tail light lenses (they fit at
least half a dozen other 1970s Kawas as well).

One bloke (a dealer, actually) contacts me, and asks for a price on ten.
I'm doing BINs on them for 3 quid.

Tell him I'll do 10 for two quid apiece, plus postage. POs arrived in
the post on Friday, and the lenses went off Saturday. As you say, wish
it was always like that.

Only another 60 or so left.....

I once had a sale completed from listing it to handing over the goods and
collecting cash in about 2 or 3 hours.

heh, a Mr Man mousemat (Mr Greedy)
I had 2 for sale last time, one went for 99p and I relisted this one today
and it got 'bin'ed for £1.99. Ah... the vagueries of ebay.
(wish I'd bought more than 2, now though)

Six months ago sold a nice Omega wristwatch for a few hundred quid. I
send immediate post auction email/invoice with my address (meant for
cheque payers). Within 30 minutes a guy from a few roads away turns up
with a bunch of tenners.
We do the deal and sit done to chew the fat over a bottle of red wine.
Next morning he's left a full bottle on my step to replace the one we
killed.
That's much more my experience of eBay than the angst we hear about in
this NG.

Its a nice story, I have only had a few crappy buyers, mainly npb. a couple
of nasty emails from folk I wouldnt sell to off ebay. (one from someone most
annoyed I wouldnt take £15 for something that eventually went for £30+ P&P
(he wanted his price to include p&p!!!)
Most folk are lovely though. I recently sent a buyer the wrong game (easily
done with n64 carts when they're both called Mario and you're half
asleep, lol) and I emailed him immediately I realised, to apologise. He was
cool over it and sent it back the same day even when I told him I couldnt
post him the real one until the day after! Real gent.

Do bear in mind that on the 99.99% of transactions that go smoothly,
there's no inducement to post here! Of course this place is full of
angst... it's a forum for asking questions when they're are problems.

Won an item on Sunday evening having figured out that the highest bidder
was in Australia and would probably be asleep when it finished. My max bid
was just 17 pence more than his so I won :)

Paid by paypal, adding 30p for first class post and the book arrived this
morning, beautifully packaged and showing postage about 60p more than I had
paid.

You're right, Kim, it makes boring reading. Now I can feel guilty about
wasting bandwidth telling you about it as well as paying far too much for a
book I certainly could have lived without (although I've wanted it for ages
and it rarely shows up), when I supposed to be getting shot of stuff not
accumulating more <sigh>

It is a beautiful book though and came with it's own protective Wei T'o* :)

You do a lot of s/h SOB parts then? I'm on the lookout for some bits, but
postage out here to the Philippines might make it too expensive.

I'm looking for some front brake parts. I have a XJ750 seca, with it's crap
remote cylinder affair, and I only have one caliper.

Couple of pics here:
http://www.cginternet.net/bikes
Second row.

I want to fit a 'proper' master cylinder, one off pretty much anything will do,
so long as it's in decent condition. Also I'll need suitable pipes, T-piece etc.
And a pair of calipers, with new seals would be even better. I have the left
one, but it's in a bad way.

What do you reckon?

BTW, if you have a couple of minutes, take a look at the 'sightings' link
particularly the very last one (bottom right)
