On 29th March under item No 160516925257 BABZ offered 10 Panasonic DVD-RAM
discs in Xtal at a 'buy-it-now' price of 8.95+2.90 postage.
They accepted my Pay-pal payment & claimed a despatch date of 2/4.
I e-mailed a complaint of non-arrival on 10th Apl and BABZ claimed to have
sent a replacement set on 11th.
On 17th I complained again of non- arrival by phone, they offered a full
refund which I rejected.
But a refund was processed anyway.
End of story as far as the seller is concerned.
If you look up that item number today, you will see that the price has been
changed to read 28.95.
Now I understand their problem, an incorrectly priced 'buy it now' sale,
then lie their way out of difficulty.
I feel that I have been short changed, but as I have been fully refunded
eBay/Pay Pal can see no case to answer.
Very sharp practice in my book. Where do I go from here? I am still working
out a succinct form of words for a very negative FB.

I have bought items from them on quite a few occasions and have never had a
problem. Items have always arrived quickly, were as described and without
any problems.

Maybe they just upped the price because they are temporarily out of stock
and don't want to close the listing & lose best match search placings.
Either way you have absolutely no proof of any wrongdoing on their part and
they refunded you promptly despite sending the item out twice to you. To
leave them negative feedback would me the utmost in cuntishness on your
part.

No business can satisfy all the customers all the times, there will be few
who are not happy whatever you do.

How we know goods not arrived?

We just accepted your word, so you should accept that they did ship twice
and may be you got a c**t post man or just got unlucky that items got lost.

Niel Humphreys put finger to keyboard:
You're assuming they *did* send the item out. The OP is saying that they
probably didn't send it at all because they got the price wrong.

OK how about some evidence:

- I have purchased many times from Babz and had no problems, so have other
people I know.
- if you (or the OP) bothered to look at the listing you will see they have
so far sold 422 of the same at the £8.95 price over at least the last 4
months, probably a longer period, hardly a seller who has accidentally been
listing at the wrong price don't you think?

They now added £20 to the price so that they would not sell any more (in
theory) while they are waiting for more stock. This is a relatively common
practice fostered by Ebay's silly best match search algorithms as if they
were to shut the listing down then re-list they would lose the 'score' for
having 422 sales on the listing that boosts the listng up search results.

Interesting. Didn't know it worked like that.

Nor can I TBH. And when you hear about some of the practices committed
by both ebay sellers and buyers, where people have lost out considerably
financially, I'm not really sure why you've got a bee up your arse over
this.

Well-reasoned debunking of the OP's FUD. I had a similar experience
(can't remember who the seller was) when I ordered a cheap CD scratch
remover kit - I guess some scumbag at RM decided it felt like a CD box
set, because the first two postings never arrived, but the supplier
persisted and it was third time lucky. I hope they made a complaint
and it was investigated.

I have purchased from Babz with no problems as well; I was just pointing
out that the OP was saying he thought they hadn't sent anything.

OK so the original price was right, but the last sale was on the 5th of
April - almost a week before Babz "sent" the second item and almost two
weeks before the refund was given. Admittedly not proof either way by any
means.

If they are out of stock then it is wrong to have the listing still active
and showing over 8,000 available. This may be accepted practice -
encouraged by eBay's algorithms - in order to keep high in the eBay chart,
but it is wrong nonetheless and could well have fuelled the OPs suspicions.

I bought a 5m Cat5 cable from Babz for £ 1.49 a few weeks ago it arrived
promptly and is now being used to connect one of my machines to my router.
Couldn't be happier with them.

Yep, looks like Babz Media are getting many complaints about their customer service.
After being supplied with a faulty torch I have received many promises of a refund but no money in several months now.
