Goofbay Sniper not working.

My last two snipes have failed, reason was: Ebay page not responding.
Are Ebay blocking it, or something? Anyone else experiencing any
problems?

I gave up using the rather unreliable goofbay sniper a few months ago
and went back to using auctionsniper.com. Although it's not free it
costs peanuts and is totally reliable IME.

If they're experiencing connection delays which are exceeding their timeouts,
then that's quite possible. Probably depends on their contention ratios and
general network traffic at that particular time of day. among other things.

That's probably one of the things you pay the extra for with a subscription
service. Guarenteed connection. Maybe the free stuff only goes through whenever
there was available capacity on the paid service.

Possibly they bought too much capacity to start with, with few subscribers.
The free service was good publicity and so everyone got through. Until that
is, subsciber base grew and squeezed out all the free connections except
at unpopular times of day.
