I've been invited to become a powerseller, but what does that mean,
apart from having a "power seller" icon next to my id? are there any
more benefits?

A slightly more sprightly response to help requests and complaints.

It most likely means you have had spoof email from someone who wants your
eBay ID.

Are you sure this is a genuine invitation and not a scam email?

Log into ebay directly and you will be able to tell.

Are you sure it's genuine? Some spoofs offer this invite to obtain your ID
and password. Login to eBay as normal (not via any link) and see if you
really qualify.

I never get invited to be a power seller despite near 1000+ feedback (no
negs or neutrals) and £1700 sales in the last period. I do however get lots
of spoof ones and always check in just in case, but alas, all spoofs so far.

Try being rude to some of your customers and ignoring emails.

If that fails then overcharge on postage as well ;0)

You also get the ability to sell CDR and DVDR bootlegs without recourse to
eBay.
