Assuming the item was bought new, then if it's a trade seller then its
possible
they may still be selling similar items now with a similar warranty. In any
case
if new, barring exclusions, the item should still be covered by the
manufacturers
warranty which you need to pursue through the retailer in any case. i.e you
return it
to him and he returns it to the manufacturer although you pay the initial
p&p to the seller. This is a legal requirement so they can't wriggle out
of it although they may try and palm you off with a working return as a
replacement.
However, if the seller was private then you're probably stuffed. Although
there's no harm in bluffing just in case.

Try Googling for the item number. Even if eBay's original listing has
disappeared, Google's cached version may still be there.
