I've clicked on the "Send Payment Details" and have the "Send Invoice
to Buyer" screen, with the items listed but if I change the postage
then recalculate it just re applies the total postage for all items.
Tried adding another postage type and recalculating but it just
defaults back to the original total.
How do I go about providing a reduced postage charge that the buyer
can then just pay (via PayPal or cheque etc)?
(I'm just a casual seller, not a trader/dealer)
Thanks, David
Change the postage in the box but do NOT click on re-calculate. Just click
on send the invoice.
Thank you Neil - so simple when you know how!
How do you apply a reduction for multiple items that are in a free postage
category?
I am asking this on behalf of a friend as I don't sell on Ebay. He states he
can't see a way to give a discount as that was only available to postage
charges.
Toby
Why would you want to give a reduction on postage if the postage is
stated as free?
Because postage isn't free in reality and is now included in the BIN price.
Prior to Ebay forcing free postage, the postal rate was discounted for
multiple purchases, but that isn't possible now.
The free postage thing was supposedly introduced for the benefit of buyers,
so don't subvert the business model - let 'em benefit from it.
I Agree, but how do you discount? The only discount offered when sending a
receipt is on postage but this is already at zero.
