----The concise guide to posting to uk.people.bdsm----
Summary of uk.people.bdsm rules:
1. DO NOT POST PERSONALS
2. DO NOT POST COMMERCIAL ADS
3. DO NOT POST BINARIES (.JPGs, etc) OR STORIES
uk.people.bdsm (upb) is a newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of
bondage, discipline, domination, submission and sado-masochism
(BDSM) in the UK.
NO PERSONALS
Personal adverts are off-topic and unwelcome. Please post these to
uk.people.bdsm.personals, uk.adverts.personal or to one of the
alt.personals groups. Please note that uk.people.bdsm.personals is
hand-moderated. While presently posts are approved within 24 hours,
there may sometimes be unavoidable delays; please be patient. Please
do NOT assume the newsgroup is not working - thank you. It is
acceptable to include a brief personal within the signature of an
on-topic message, subject to the usual guidance on sigs being restricted
to 2-3 lines by preference and certainly not more than 5-6.
A comprehensive list of personals services is posted regularly to
the group by Moonman (
link...@moonkissed.co.uk)
NO COMMERCIAL ADS
Only short (less then 20 lines) adverts for UK BDSM-related events
are permitted. Other commercial advertising is not. Advertising a
BDSM-related business in your sig file is allowed, again subject to
the above proviso on sig-length.
NO BINARIES OR STORIES
Posting of erotic fiction and binaries are not permitted by charter.
There are numerous other newsgroups where these are welcome.
OTHER GUIDELINES
Posts must be in plain text. To see how to make your newsreader
comply with this, please read:
http://www.usenet.org.uk/ukpost.html
Try to quote only the relevant parts of a previously posted message.
Snip any original text you're not addressing in your response, and
always snip quoted signatures!
Please be friendly and polite, and express differences in taste
and/or opinion without resorting to personal abuse. BDSM covers a
multitude of activities/thoughts/people, all of whom have a valid
contribution to make to the newsgroup.
Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the newsgroup
charter which is regularly posted to the newsgroup, or at:
