5. Other Info.
Please post using a legitimate e-mail address. The moderator
may wish to send a rejection note to you, and if you don't
use a valid e-mail address, you will never see it.
Discussion of bdsm practices and general discussion by those
interested in bdsm should go to uk.people.bdsm.
Crossposting to uk.adverts.personals or any other newsgroup is
not permitted by the newsgroup charter; if you want your advert
to appear elsewhere, you'll have to post it there yourself.
DO NOT POST PERSONALS TO UK.PEOPLE.BDSM
Full header info from the original message is posted in each post to
allow the tracking of people who fake personals using other people's
contact info.
Please try and make your subject line descriptive of your personal
using location, gender etc eg. "Female Domme seeks male sub in London"
You may get a reply to your advertisement asking you to telephone them
back. Take care, check the code first to see if it's a premium rate
call. We have had a few scam merchants try this in response to
personals on this newsgroup.
Please take precautions when meeting with or giving contact info to a
stranger. Get to know them as much as possible before meeting them,
meet in a public place and make sure a friend knows where you are
going and who you are meeting. You might also consider arranging to
call a friend at a specific time to tell them you are fine, if you
don't call they will know something is wrong. Do not give your home
address and phone number out unless you are sure you can trust the
person to whom you are giving them.
