PROFESSOR OF ASTRONOMY Reference: A05/58

The University seeks to appoint a Professor of Astronomy to head the
Centre for Astronomy, Space Science and Astrophysics within the School of
Physical Science. The University is looking for a dynamic individual to
fill the post and provide strategic leadership in this field at Kent.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to high quality teaching
and possess an outstanding record of published and on-going research in
any field of astronomy, space science and astrophysics. He/she will also
provide strategic and operational leadership to the Centre for Astronomy,
Space Science and Astrophysics.


Salary will be on the Professorial scale, current minimum point: £43,513
pa.
