I have not had any mail through my bcs.org.uk forwarding address for well
over 24 hours now, including regular test mails. I just spoke to BCS
Customer Service who told me there is an ongoing problem that "is being
worked on" and they hope to have the service back "within a few days" ...

Given that it was "known" about it would have been nice to have details
posted here officially so we could do something about lost email ...

Ceratinly, some accounts (but not all) have been affected.

I take issue with the "in a few days" bit (not necessarily that they
said it, but ceretainly where they got it from). I hope that it is
hours, (at most) not days.

Apologies to all (again). I am doing all I can to get the situation
rectified. Our providers are aware of the problem and working on it. I
haven't found out exactly what the problem is but I'll report back as
soon as I know.

Thanks for the update Andrew, I was surprised at the "days" estimate I was
given but know better that to question Customer Service reps ;)

One of the discs (the one with Exim on it) is unwell. I'm told (at
16.30 Wed) that the work being carried out to fix it should be completed
shortly.

More as I get it.

I believe it is up and stable now.

When I can, I'll detail what steps will be taken to deal with these
embarrassing problems.
