Question about Mail Washer and SPAM

Hi

I am using a great little program called
"Mailwasher" whihc is free as it happens.I was just thinking
maybe if I post alll the e-mail addresses that are spam
senders they will pick them up and send each other
Spam. Maybe if all MailWasher users did this then
they would overload themselves,and oops yes maybe cause
overload.

thoughts ?

You realise a lot of those emails are fake, or don't belong to the spammer?

I have to say, though, I hadn't realised that the Foreign & Commonwealth
Office was a spam house. I'll have to put the whole of gov.uk in my kill
file just in case. :)

Nope - that's the quickest way to get addressed harvested. If you use
*encoded* mailto: links, on the other hand...

In recent days I've received (virus infected, and trapped, which
brought it to my attention) e-mail with lots of the "Reply-to"
mail addresses of posters I "know". Perhaps specific newsgroups
are being targetted, and the sender is using bounces/errors to
clean their mail list, or someone has a news server of their own
just to collect addresses to sell them on, or... <your comments>
