Position: SharePoint Designer / Developer
Location: Pasadena, CA
Duration: 12+ Contract to hire
Client: City of Pasadena

SharePoint Designer/Developer (for City of Pasadena) to lead migration efforts from existing SharePoint 2003/2013 intranet sites to SharePoint Online.


Job Duties:
• Develop hierarchical site structures.
• Create / develop Microsoft SharePoint intranet portal site template
• Migrate existing SharePoint 2003, 2013, and other custom applications to SharePoint Online.
• Convert and/or re-engineer existing intranet sites to cloud-based SharePoint Online solutions
• Incorporate “future proofing” and ease of maintenance design Design and develop web parts for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) and SharePoint 2010 applications.
• Develop an uniform portal design that can support multiple city department needs
• Able to learn business rules and identify streamline opportunities where possible Custom webpart solutions to retrieve the business data from Oracle and SAP applications into SharePoint. Coordinate with different teams in implementing the projects using full SDLC
• Be a self-learner to research issues and be a problem solver Design the Migration plan for SharePoint 2007 from Nexus data center to Polaris data center.
• Able to plan, organize and prioritize daily assignments and work activities
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in SharePoint 2003/2013/SharePoint Online migration and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Implement business rules through configuration and setup.
. Azure, AWS, Okta SSO, Confluence, Jira, Fiddler, VS Test Suite, Agile
• Create and maintain Microsoft SharePoint intranet sites; convert/re-engineer intranet sites, applications, and reporting mechanisms to current technologies focusing on cloud-based solutions
• Design and implement solutions which provide required business functionality for users across City departments
Desirable Skills:
• Proficient understanding of Visual Basic and C# to be able to code or modify code to migrate existing .NET application to SharePoint Online
• Proficient understanding of SQL code for database platforms in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/ 2012/2014/2017 This assignment is 12+ months contract with the opportunity to turn into a full-time position.
