Anyone know if it's possible to get a Virgin Media cable internet service
with a static routable /29 network assigned to it?
Or even with a single routable static IP address?
I'm guessing this would be classed as a business service, if it exists
(which is fine, providing the price doesn't get silly).

I am certain that this is impossible with a consumer connection, but
according to:

http://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/products__solutions/broadband__internet_services/business_broadband.aspx#features_benefits

"Associated services - up to five email address, up to 60Mb web space,
one domain name, optional fixed IP address (4 and 10MB only), so that
you can run applications that require external access."

That would be £30 for 4Mbps or £40 for 10Mbps.

- river.

Thanks for that.
I also got a comment from someone else that they won't supply a
business service to a residence, even if you work from home.
