Anyone got any comments on the UK ISP Totalise plc (www.totalise.net)

I'm sure that most people remember that when they launched as another
free ISP and also offering free shares as an incentive most people had
there doubts. I signed up just to get some free shares and see if
anything would happen as a result. I've since received around 275 shares
which at present (22nd Dec 99) are priced around 71p each (worth around
£190 in total), but the shares aside I must admit I'm fairly impressed
with their service.

Over the last 12 months I've gone through a number of ISP's (Claranet,
Easynet, FreeServe, CurrantBun, Btinternet) but Totalise from my
experiences are on a par with most of them. Out of all the above they
have been the quickest for connection in my experiences. Has anyone
else noticed how quick their dial-up authorisation is?

I must admit I've never had to try the Support lines and I also haven't
used the web space yet - has anyone had any experience of these? But for
a free ISP with quick connection and a few pennies worth of shares thrown
I have to admit I have been impressed.

I still won't ditch Btinternet while they have the 0800 access at
weekends, but I am now using Totalise more and more during the week.

Has anyone else got any comments on their service?

Down on uk.misc street, the vibe from Rich is:

Yes - all their employees & their customers are actually a bunch of
wankers.

Followups set.

I suspect that this is not part of the GBP8m
marketing campaign that launches next year.

Ten out of ten for subtlety.

Now get over here and help me clean this Christmas cake off the
monitor.
