I have seen only your post. Might not be too many people around
because of Easter I suppose.

All of Usenet has been quiet for the last few days (certainly the groups I

Also, it seems Eternal September has had issues, which may account for some
of the missing traffic.

Hi Porky : how are things going?

Porky Chapman bragged about the fact that he was taking someone he
had accused of harassing him through the court system.
All of a sudden his court case is off. Was it because Porky was scared of
being cross-examined and having to answer questions under oath?
Or did the CPS sling the case out because of Porky's "evidence"?
Why won't he tell us?

Actually I'm not sure that at the moment the posts that pass moderation
are appearing in the group. There may be a problem.

Eternal September were having a problem so i assumed it may have been a
problem with injection from the.

Have noticed that a reply to periander about sex workers passed
moderation but hasnt appeared

Mr p mentioned he hadnt been caught with his trousers down , i couldnt
resist commenting about his kilt being up or cross dressing ;)

Yes, last one I can see was posted a little after midnight. I posted
something to the CCCA thread mid-morning and can't see it in the
rejects.

I've asked in uk.net.providers.gradwell if their news service is working
okay (anyone who has a Gradwell Usenet account can check). The modbot
injects via Gradwell's service (which is outsourced to readnews), so it
could be that (or it could be the modbot itself).

I just approved a post and it appeared on the group, so I guess things
are working fine at the moment.

I don't see it.

I posted at 11.20 am yesterday and although it shows as autoposted I haven't
seen my post, nor any others at all until the one Jon mentioned appeared,
then another two this morning.

If you can't see your posts in the group I think we'll have to assume
that a number of posts yesterday have been lost and are unlikely to appear.

I think the ES server is allowing users to post, but is not peering with
other servers. Essentially, ES users are able to talk to each other but
no one else.

However, that doesn't explain why your posts aren't visible to me,
because they're posted through Gradwell - unless Gradwell's outsourced
news server has very limited peering.

(The ES website is also down, never a good sign).

That certainly was the case over the weekend, but it was fixed by
Monday I think. I got your message via Eternal September, and if
you see this follow-up then the communication is two-way.

Yesterday (ES) I had hardly any posts but later they all came in at once. I
am now getting duplicates.
Apols I posted this in uklm by mistake. I do subscribe to NIN but a while
ago I found I was missing a lot of posts and started using ES instead.

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/chiark/graphs?detail=eternal-september&section=News

Suggests there was a blip over the weekend with ES not receiving
articles, but also that it doesn't seem to have started sending posts
out (at least to chiark) again.

My news server can't connect to ES and it's not sent any articles my way
for a few days. It's clearly peering with some servers, but not all.

I have 5 posts dated yesterday in uklm, on both NIN and ES. And for that
matter, on virginmedia's server.

The only posts I have found to be mising on NIN have been spam. Anything I
think I should have never seems to be on ES either when I check, like just
now. I don't normally go near the VM server, but it's there so I looked.:-)

Thinking about it, for a couple of days, ES seemed to stop encrypting
headers on articles - I wonder if config has been lost and the servers
haven't had all the peers re-added.
