I wish it were so, but for the last 18 months I've been fighting a battle
against this right-on behaviour. And losing. I still eat fish, if it counts,
and Tuna Friendly Dolphin ;)

had a brilliant night! tommy played an absolutely stormin set which
filled up the dancefloor & got ppl dancin in no time. cant say much
about the other djs as didnt i didnt take any notice of them, and left
during the first half of spencer freelands set.

hmmmm, have to say considering it was their 3rd birthday party the
convergance crew didnt go to much bother with decor and stuff, if they
bothered at all, a bit off really considering the paying punters at
the door had to part with 18 squid for the pleasure.

anyway, whatever, i had a good time and twas great to meet ruth &
felix (hello!) and hang out & be silly with my bestest droogs.

suzy :)

Yup - it certainly got the dancefloor going that's for sure!

We left at about 3ish to catch Jace at the 414.

Yeah, £18 was laughable; no decor, no lights, only half a club at first
(upstairs was closed, I think that it may have opened later). I know
that EFS and Pendragon get some flak occasionally for being 'too
commercial' (whatever that means), too expensive, too blah, blah, blah
but when you see how much these promotors actually give back to their
punters for a standard admission fee in terms of decor and
entertainment, then other promoters can look and learn - that's for sure.

Helloooo :) Likewise, a pleasure :)

lol! Yeah, that was a wicked set, really set the place on fire and he looked
very happy didn't he?

Stop complaining, we went in for free didn't we? Who cares about the
plebs????

I am of course joking. I agree wholeheartedly with your and Ruths points. To
pay 18 quid for that and be fed no lights, backdrops, and even a lineup of
DJ's who - apart from Thomas - are Frantic 'property' anyway, really smacks
of fleecing the 'punters' something rotten. I think they could only have
shafted the crowd more if they had buggered their mothers and put sugar in
their petrol tanks, before finally going to each and every one of their
houses and garroting their pets. Print a license money to...

Yeah, was a laugh, really cool fun though I am suffering today from sleep
deprivation.

aaaah, i remember the good ole days when the frantic crew used to make
a bit of a effort. big light show and awesome lasers, giant robot men
and circus acts interacting with the crowd. now you dont even get an
extra fairy light for your trouble.

What I meant was, the standard lights were there, but, back in the day ;)
Frantic used to put on quite a show with loads of their own lights and scans
and lasers and shit. Anyhow, my girlfriend just reminded me of a shocking
incident that puts a few fairy lights into insignificance. Halfway through
the night I got a textie from my girlfriend asking me to meet her at the DJ
booth quickly. I came over and she told me that some fat sweaty lech (not me
this time) had started touching her, she told him to piss off so he grabbed
her and shoved her against the wall!! At this point she punched the fucker
in the face and he reeled back!!! I think she made a good job of it as her
hand is still hurting today apparently :D

So there you go, any leches out there be warned you'll get your comeuppance
one day...

served him right. i do recall the place was crawling with leches, on
the dancefloor and when helen & i were dancing behind tommy. some
horrid little man kept perving up against us and then he made the big
mistake of touching helens hair. at which point she told him in no
uncertain terms that if he did it again he would be sorely sorry. he
cleared off sharpish after that ;)

helen rules!!!

leeches are very useful creatures peter, they just suffer from bad
press. leches on the other hand are scummy dirty monsters who need to
be wiped off the face of the earth or at the very least slapped &
kicked very hard :)
